Dave Ramsey's Town Hall For Hope Live Event was super-duperriffic! Some of my favorite Dave Ramsey quotes from the event are:
- Your raise is effective when you are (told to a commissioned employee who asked for a base rate raise)!
- You can be sincere, but still be stupid.
- Most millionaires can't tell you who got kicked off the island last night!
- Work like it all depends on you, and pray like it all depends on God.
For those of you who think this is the worst recession since the Great Depression--you might not be so convinced of that after you check
these stats. We need to stop listening to everything the media tells us. The media gets us all hyped up about all sorts of things, and has Americans living in a perpetual state of fear about almost everything. We don't exactly do our best thinking when we are in a highly emotional state (like panic) do we? Fear does serve a purpose in certain life and death situations, but as a lifestyle it is nothing but debilitating. Like Dave says, "Fear is the enemy of hope."
